Lily-of-the-valley

It is written in the "Manyoshu" as a Ashibi. This plant is azalea family of Japanese origin existing from Manyo era.
It is written "drank horse tree", because it was said that its poison in the leaves made horses and cows as if they were drank.
It is used as a summer material for the vase arrangement when the materials are lacking in Summer.
Its leaves are forming nice mass. During spring between March and April, it bloom white flower and already prepare for next season's buds.
Since its leaves shine beautifully, it is also used for colour skim.
